Pre-Production
This shows the progress of the transformation of the trees from their sparse appearance on arrival to their full and shapely finished product. I had a heavy hand in creating additional branches to add to the trees and I contributed to their installation and fine-tuning.
I treated the "Post No Bills" wall with paper scraps and wallpaper glue to create a textured surface that looks like years of posters being applied and then ripped down. I used spray paint to create graffiti. I used different shades of mixed blues to simulate "cover-up jobs". After multiple layers of postering, tearing down, graffiti-ing, and partially restoring, I traced the designer's projected "CHICAGO" mural and painted in the letters and graphics.
